iPad Competitions Canceled?

It doesn't take a person to read about it in Agezine to know about the Apple iPad, one smooth-looking gadget from the brilliant minds of Apple. So, like in any business, one has to join in on what's new and what the consumers are looking for.

Earlier this year at CES 2010, HP unveiled a potential iPad killer, named the HP Slate, a multi-touch tablet PC running on Windows 7 with pretty much the same tech-capabilities as the iPad. Meanwhile Microsoft was busy with a project of their own codenamed project Courier. But whaddaya know, the Courier has been officially canceled and rumours are going around saying that HP isn't gonna go through with the Slate after all. After just a few days in after HP had acquired Palm, Tech Crunch reported that the HP Slate just might be ending up in the trash can. HP has yet to announce its true fate but if the rumour does turn out to be false, you can probably expect the Slate to be released sometime this June. Meanwhile the Courier is definitely a no go, which is such a shame 'cuz it looks just so damn cool.

But HP's tablet PC still has hope so be sure to keep a lookout for the HP Slate and its fate (hey that rhymes!) at HP's web here.
