Didgeridoo?

what is a didgeridoo? ever heard of it? it looks like this :



I bet most of you guys have seen this unique instrument but some of us might not know what is the name of it. Its DIDGERIDOO and you pronounce it 'didjeridu' or you can simply call it 'didge'.

It came from nothern Australia where the Indigenous Australians developed it around 1500+ years ago.

Didgeridoos are made from Eucalyptus trees. The hollow is commonly caused by termite.

this instrument is sure historic, isnt it? and the sound produced also unique. it is categorized as aerophone instrument. Amazingly, this long instrument had been played around the world nowadays and that is including our country Malaysia.

In malaysia, we got many events for didgeridoo such as gathering and didgeridoo circles where our didgeridoo players will gather and having good time playing didgeridoo.

Fun facts about didgeridoo:

1)Different regions and tribes came up with different names for didgeridoo such as 'Ngarrriralkpwina' by Anindilyakwa tribe and 'paampu' by Pintupi tribe.

2) Study found that learning and practicing didgeridoo helped reduce snoring and sleep apnea!
